Sewing Patterns; miss selfridge, Warehouse, Top Shop?
Ok, I want to start sewing my own clothes..for creative reasons, but also to save money and have more say in the designs of what i wear .
However I am struggling to find sewing patterns, for designs of clothes i would actually wear.
So where could i find sewing patterns or a sewing pattern brand with similar styles designs to the clothes you can buy in
- warehouse
-miss self ridge
-Zara
etc

Vogue and other companies have books that have a lot of different patterns so have a look through them and see if there is anything you like.You will find that most patterns are recycled over the years and that many styles will constantly pop up in fashion so looking for old patterns on ebay may help as well.
Also look for things that you can change. The best thing about having patterns and sewing is that it is easy to adapt them, be it taking s few cm off a dress or changing the sleeves. Through practice this will be easy.
Fashion books also give a great example on how to make clothes from blocks, again these can be easily adapted, and with the right fabric can look really good. The good thing to remember is that even though you want similar designs to these shops if you are designing your own clothes they will immediately look different and be unique, and designing your own clothes is simple if you change any bought patterns.
